Import households | Residely Help

This is an admin task. Smart Import is the fastest way to stand up a neighborhood: paste a spreadsheet of addresses and residents, and Residely creates the households and their members in bulk.

Open Smart Import:

In the sidebar, under Settings, choose Smart Import.

Run the import

Smart Import is a three-step wizard:

Paste your spreadsheet data (a CSV, or copied straight from a spreadsheet), and indicate whether it has a header row.
Preview and map: Residely detects the columns and shows the first rows. Map each column to the right household or resident field. The preview also flags which residents are new versus already present, by email.
Run: Residely imports the households and members and reports how many were created, updated, or skipped.

Imported residents who have an email address become unclaimed spots that the matching person can later claim, or that link automatically when their email matches on the way in. See Set up onboarding for how claiming works.
