Manage your household
Once your account is linked to a home, you can keep your household up to date: its address and details, who lives there, and how much of it neighbors can see.
Open your household:
From the sidebar, choose My Household.
Tap the Household tab at the bottom of the screen.
Tap the Household tab at the bottom of the screen.
Don't have a home yet? You'll see a prompt to find and claim it. See Claim your household for the steps.
Edit your household details
Open your household and choose Edit. You can set:
- The house number and street, subdivision, and city, state, and postal code.
- An optional household name (for example, "The Garcia family").
- A household contact email and phone, which neighbors can use to reach the home.
- A resident since date and an About description for your home.
Add and manage members
From your household you can add the people, and pets, who live with you, and edit or remove them later.
- Choose Add member (or open an existing member to edit them).
- Pick whether they're an adult, a child, or a pet.
- Fill in what you'd like to share: name, gender, email, phone, birthday, a short introduction, and interests.
- Save.
Members are listed with adults first, then children, then pets. Each person controls what neighbors see, only the fields you fill in appear on a profile.
Hide your home from the directory
If you'd rather not appear to other neighbors, edit your household and choose Hide from Directory. Your home disappears from the directory for everyone else, while you and your neighborhood's admins can still see it. You can unhide it the same way at any time.
Leave a household
If you're no longer part of a home, open your household and choose to leave it. This removes your link to that home and returns your spot to unclaimed, so the right person can claim it later. Leaving doesn't delete your account.
Editing a household is open to the people who live there and to admins. Deleting an entire household is reserved for admins.
